LANSING, Mich. — Organizers of the No Kings movement plan a Vote Early gathering on the west lawn of the state Capitol grounds in Lansing on Saturday, Oct. 17, running from noon until 2 p.m.
The Lansing stop is one of roughly 100 No Kings events scheduled around Michigan that day, from the Upper Peninsula to the Detroit suburbs. Sites range from parks and sidewalks to libraries and courthouses.
This round is pitched as a nonpartisan push to get people voting, a shift from the earlier rallies that centered on protest. Organizers say no ballots can be cast at the events, but attendees can learn how to vote early and plan when they will do it.
Michigan voters can request an absentee ballot and either mail it back or drop it off with their local clerk, and early in-person voting is also offered ahead of Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
The movement last held statewide rallies on March 28, 2026, when more than 100 events took place across Michigan. Organizers say people can RSVP online for more details on each location.
