EAST LANSING, Mich. — Michigan State, the Big Ten school in East Lansing, Mich., will play its annual rivalry game at Michigan under the lights, with the Big Ten setting a 7:30 p.m. start for Saturday, Nov. 7, at Michigan Stadium.
Fans will need a streaming subscription to watch. The conference said the game will be carried only on Peacock. It will be the fifth night game in a row between the two schools in the series.
The Big Ten had held the game in its six-day window before naming a start time and TV partner, then posted the decision on Saturday night.
The Spartans are 2-6 and still looking for their first conference win at 0-5, but they will have had an extra week to prepare and heal after their bye. Michigan is 5-3 overall and 2-3 in league play and comes in after winning at Rutgers.
The sidelines carry some history too. Pat Fitzgerald and Kyle Whittingham are each in their first season at their schools, and Nov. 7 will be just their second meeting as head coaches. The first came in the 2018 Holiday Bowl, when Fitzgerald’s Northwestern team rallied from 20-3 down at the half to beat Whittingham’s Utah squad 31-20.
